A Field Engineering Service Company.
True Light Solutions LLC provides a variety of field engineering services in support of planning, building, and maintaining reliable broadband infrastructures throughout our nation. We work across the continental US, partnering with telecom companies, utility companies, and engineering firms to collect and process the data needed to properly engineer and install a communications network.
From high level planning and design all the way through to the construction process, TLS understands the expertise, time, and coordination it takes to plan, build, and maintain reliable communications networks. It is, therefore, our mission to do everything we can to support our partner’s project needs. Whether it be field or back office engineering, we are here to help.
The value-add that TLS offers is simple: we love what we do, we believe in hard work and integrity, and we come with experience.

Our Services
All services are conducted based on project specifications and industry standards. We use industry standard tools to perform all work as well as commonly used software platforms according to each client’s needs. Once field work is completed, it moves into our QC process before being submitted and invoiced.
Joint-Use Engineering Services
Joint-use pole services includes the processes that are necessary to preparing and negotiating third party, joint-use attachment applications with utility pole owners. Typically using the Katapult Pro platform, this includes job preparation (design), data collection (site visit to every pole), and data processing (annotations, make ready design, and PLA export).
Job Preparation: Aerial Design
The design phase uses the most up-to-date, Google satellite imagery to pre-determine a route before field collection. In no way does this step replace site visits, which is necessary to confirm accurate GPS locations of poles. However, it does simplify and streamline the collection process, making it faster and safer for the field crews.
Data Collection: Site Visits
Following job preparation, a site visit to each pole is conducted. This part of the process serves two purposes:
Route Verification: confirming the accuracy of each pole’s GPS location and accurate aerial design.
Data Collection: Pole tags, birthmarks, groundline circumference measurements, downguys and anchoring, ground wires, pole heights, midspan heights (including at critical crossings), pole equipment that may affect loading, and any other make ready information that may affect the application.
Data Processing and Make Ready
All of the information gathered in the field is processed through data entry, annotations, and make ready design. Once completed, everything, including a pole loading analysis (PLA) report, is reviewed and submitted to the engineering firm for further review and analysis or exported directly into various formats and platforms, including:
PDF, XLSX, CSV, JSON, KMZ, DXF, SHP, PoleForeman, O-calc, and SPIDACalc.
